I am going to get a GTX570 to replace my dying old card. I was wondering if the current setup of parts i have will have any trouble, like bottle necking or such.

Upgrading FROM ASUS ATI HD5770. Which card should I upgrade to - SLI 1GB Nvidia GTX460 or GTX570?
Titles says it. Bearing in mind that if I get one GTX 570, I can then later add another one in if need be. And the GTX 570 has only recently come out and probably has new features.|||GTX 570 (takes only one pci-e)
GTX 460 1GB and the GTX 570 should compete head to head.
Crossfire 6850/70 is another option|||Can I ask YOU a question? Why do you need such a powerful card? I say save your money for later. If it's for bragging rights, think about it. In a month something else will come along, the problem with computer technology is that new things come out all the time leaving for very little time to gloat over that new graphics card or cpu you bought. I'd wait a bit until the 5770 won't do a thing for you.|||SLI GTX460 is greater then GTX480 and the GTX570 is around the same as a GTX480
I don't know what the guy under me is smoking but he really needs to quit
The 5770 does not come anywhere close to the performance of a GTX460 which beats out the 5830
Benchmarks all over the net proves it
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gefo…|||Why would you bother? The HD 5770 is a great card, it's almost as powerful as an HD 4870. I wouldn't bother if I were you because there's nothing that card cannot run at high settings at 1920x1080 or lower. If you really want to upgrade, add another HD 5770 and Crossfire them.|||well to be honest u dont have to upgrade anything.the 5770 is already better than the GTX 460.i rather u upgrade to a let say the 6850 or the 6870.they got better cooling than the 5770 and are faster.|||A GTX 570 is WAY more powerful than any of those and you will not have the headaches involved with SLI.|||What are you doing that you need better than a 5770?? A 5770 can run Crysis @ 1080 maxed

What Processor is needed to fully utilize a GTX 570?
I have read that a minimum i7 is needed at 3.8Ghz to utilize SLI GTX570.
But it seems to be a debate on a single GTX570.
I am running a i7 960 @ 4.2Ghz but don't know that in other then Benchmarks, that it really has made a difference in games.|||The Intel I7 1366 socket series processors currently offer the most bandwidth in terms of processing data due to their system bus speeds up to 6400 MT/s
Equivilent AMD QuadCore systems only support processor system bus's up to 5200 MT/s no matter what the clock speed of the processor the I7 1366 socket will always be able to handle more data in one go so the I7 1366 route is the most powerfull without a doubt.
As for overclocking your I7's clock speed by a full 1ghz, bringing you up to 4.2Ghz with 8MB L3.
If that's not compatible there isn't anything else faster unless you fork out £700 or so on an Intel I7 X series.

What should my friend get? Radeon HD5970 or Gtx570?
I can get the 5970 for extremely less.. So that's why i'm asking.
Thanks

Club 3D NVIDIA GeForce GTX570 or evga NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480?
is the first card of better quality? not to sure about the 'club' thing? is it something like 'gainward'for nvidia or palit for ati?
which of the 2 are best?
cheers!|||Now we have a battle. There are many flavors of each. for the sake of equality we will look at the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… ( brand new and not re-certified ) and the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… . In terms of RAW numbers the 480 is the winner but lets go see what might happen during gaming . http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_e… suggests a negligible difference between the 570 and 480 at the top of the chart. This could be easily changed with another CPU or other change. Not much help there. http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/har… suggests nearly identical numbers when playing Metro 2033. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/archi… does suggest possible issues with the GTX 570. There are also heat issues with the 480 which might be remedied with aftermarket cooling. The 570 is not as power hungry as the 480 either. When all is said and done this is a tough one. Blown capacitors or overheating causing blue screens? This is worst case scenario but the choice is not any easier. http://www.fudzilla.com/reviews/item/211… is yet another review/benchmarking session .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pZB4FMp-… might also help. The 570 is obviously more power efficient when it comes to gaming. It also has a lower TDP than the 480. TDP stands for something that I don't want to google right now but pretty much suggests the level of cooling needed as i alluded to in my last answer when i was comparing the TDP of the 960 and the 2500K. During the very intense parts of that benchmark the 570 was bogged down to nearly 15FPS, was nearly 100frames behind and maybe a 1/2 second behind in real time. This is a reflection of the Memory Interface. 384bit for the 480 and a lesser 320 bit for the 570. There were times where the 570 was ahead in all the numbers except for the power it was consuming. BTW the 480 was bogged down to 21FPS. So i leave it to your. I might have provided you with the information you need to make your decision. The release dates aren't really all that far apart either so this might be a toss up for some. i am staying with the 570 super-clocked. Remember that the 480 needs a 600W or better PSu and the 570 a 500W or better PSU. You want at least 30amp rail The PSu i mentioned in my last answer, the corsair 850W enthusiast PSU, has a 70amp which means it exceeds the safety parameters set forth by the manufacturer. They suggest at least 30 amp. I am going SLI eventually so that is another reason that PSU might seems like overkill. 570 SUPERCLOCKED from EVGA.|||go with EVGA GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card
3. I noticed a huge increase in FPS in games with Resolutions of 1920x1200
4. It can play Crysis & Crysis WarHead at all the highest settings - and still runs cool under load! Partnered with MSI Afterburner I never saw the GTX 570 exceed 70 to 75 degrees Celsius... I've seen the GTX 470 go over 100 Degrees Celsius and the GPU fan sounded like a blow dryer...

I think my gtx570 is crashing while playing MW3. help?
so after playing MW3 for a while my screen says it getting no signal for a second, then it goes black, it sometimes goes magenta. and at the same time, my speakers buzz for a moment. then i cant do anything, cant ctr alt delete. nothing happens. i have to hit the reset button on my pc.
ive tried re-installing my graphics driver and updating them fully but it still happens.
i can play battlefield 3 for hours with no problems and other games run fine. only happens with MW3
can anyone think of a possible cause and solution?|||I would contact EVGA immediately. THey have STELLLAR phone support. You won't hear ummm have you turned your computer off and then on. Ok ummm sir I will need to transfer you to a level 2 tech support. HOld on okay???

That magenta color def. sounds like it is going out. I've seen magenta/fuscia, green, yellow and many lines. Obviously with it only doing it will MW3 it sorta screams driver issue but because of the buzz it sounds electrical so checking for contact between the motherboard and case and checking your PSU for issues would be a good idea. EVGA can run you through multiple troubleshooting procedures to identify the problem and offer a solution. If my 570 EVER even coughed I would be on the horn with EVGA because even though I have fielded many a computer question and could possibly fix it I want to take full advantage of my current warranty and EVGA knows a LOT more than I will ever know so yeah call them.
